'kay.... Ack! The following text is presented without comment. Because I know you'd rather. Via Kayaknews.ca:
NEW WAVE KAYAK's take: The Mongoose is the choice for boaters who want to surf a big juicy wave, ride a wild hole and boof tight, technical drops. The roomy storage area stows enough gear for extended good times. If you are looking for a boat that handles the steep creeks while retaining its ability for hole riding and surfing, the Mongoose is for you.

Offline until the 19th From here on in, I shall be offline until approximately February 19th. From the 10th until the 17th, I won't be reachable by phone, as going out of the country means my phone no worky.
While I'll miss you all greatly, sometime between the third and fourth PiƱa Colada of the morning I'll cope somehow. Take care!

Catching up! http://www.trekking-mahlzeiten.de/trekking-mahlzeiten-online-shop/produkte/Zwischenmahlzeiten_507/Cheeseburger_in_der_Dose_4641.html and http://www.trekking-mahlzeiten.de/trekking-mahlzeiten-online-shop/produkte/Getraenkepulver_547.html both scare me.
http://dailycoyote.blogspot.com/ is cute.
119,088 miles on Meefer now. Oil change needed soon. New springs needed before it's too late, but that'll be after the cruise.
Oh yes, the cruise! Feb 10-17th, and the 8th-18th pretty well offline for travel. Norwegian Cruise Line ship out of New Orleans, down the Western Carribean. I am looking grandly forward to this. I have a passport now and that b*tch is getting stamped first possible thing. Uh-huh.
http://community.livejournal.com/scans_daily/4577405.html (Despite LJ warning, perfectly safe) might be one of the crackiest comic books ever.

A Merry Christmas to all. obLoot: Nokia n800 internet tablet, Meerkat Manor Season one, Ratatouille[*1], Pile o' gift certificates, Keurig K-cup coffee maker (the kind with the little insert cups), World of Warcraft (I'm on Argent Dawn so far. Feel free to mention your servers/characters/[H|A] but I'm likely to focus on Argent Dawn.), cookbooks, a T-shirt from Royal Carribean Cruise Lines which I'm now debating wearing on my Norwegian Cruise Lines cruise in February, and gum.
Mark Evanier's had some interesting YouTube points lately. Here's one for Austin Dern, and one for Tyrrlin, Gabrieli, and other voice-actor fans. Thanks to T'chall for the point-out.
Quiet Christmas it was, off work, so good times with family and Mom'goose's friends. My thanks to all who sent Christmas cards, real or virtual; I do so greatly appreciate the kindness of my friends all, and feel guilty about my poor card response rate. Know that all of cou are cherished greatly.
--Chiaroscuro [*1] So far only one copy. I expect somehow there's another coming.

I think I would've been faster had I realized you #1 Don't need to press Enter and #2 if you typo and press enter it doesn't clear the field, so "lansasmichiganrhode islandconnecticutvermont" is what you end up with before you look up from the keyboard.
Also, I've got my first passport. Wow, that was fast processin' time.

Quick Throws It would take 28 White Russians to kill me
The Dude shall abide at 27.
MFF was great. My incognito was exceedingly blown, except maybe for Kage. I'm not sure, he's a busy man and can't be expected to recognize everyone who's seen him in his underwear. All the requisite stops made, and a good, low-key, didn't have to be busy convention- the sort it's hard to tell stories of but was good. Conveyer belt sushi. Gummi snakes. $1 Gideon badges. Seeing Jim groat make freaky-face. Noticing the chord progression on "Dead Puppies" is a lot like Pachebel's Canon in D. One-biting a White Castle "And no reversal!".
Pure wrongness of Sesame Street. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AXPnH0C9UA

For those who don't know it, and those who do. http://www.newsongsforpeace.org/songs-bt1.html for lyrics and the link to the mp3 BT's "Animals". A great song even if it didn't have such furry-friendly lyrics. Thanks to warphammer for introducing it to me two years ago, and now, here it is found free for download.

Anthrocon Report: Saturday, July 07, 2007
The usual early rise and jaunt down to registration. We set up well and quickly enough that bigtig, drleo, derechodragon and I had time for breakfast at the bagel place in the Westin corridor. Num for broccoli salad and bagel. Saturday morning had a modest turnout.. most of the con's arrived already, and we handled stragglers, questions, and one-day passes predominantly. ( Read more... )
